Hair Care Tips
Avoid cutting a hand-tied weft, which may shed if cut. If you must cut a hand-tied weft, tie it off at the end and seal the tied-off portion with a sealant, such as Fray Check. Putting a needle through the weft will damage the weft and can cause shedding.
Comb through hair prior to washing to remove any tangles. Shampoo at least once a week using a sulfate-free shampoo. Do not rub or massage the hair when washing; this can cause tangling. Always condition after washing. When applying conditioner, comb hair starting with the ends. Work your way up to the scalp, making sure to avoid root/weft tension. After washing and conditioning, apply a good leave-in conditioner. Let hair air dry. The hair should be deep conditioned by a professional during re-attachment services (every 3-5 weeks).
Brush through the hair daily with an anti-static brush from the ends to the root.
Use styling aids in moderation and alcohol-free products. Avoid blow-drying hair.
Never sleep on wet hair. Prior to sleeping, wrap or braid hair into one loose braid. (We recommend sleeping on satin pillows or with a satin cap to avoid friction while sleeping).
